Porch Projects Presents: Eat Our Words
Porch Projects’ second exhibition brings together the work of three area artists to explore issues of food politics and food culture. Chanan Delivuk (DC), along with collaborating team Shannon Young and Jaimes Mayhew (Baltimore), will showcase new works of sound, installation, performance, and social practice art. These works will consume the main Porch Projects space and spill into other areas of the house and backyard, reinforcing the social and peripatetic nature of eating. Taken together, these artists’ works will help viewers examine their own complex relationships with food, and how the acts of preparing and consuming a meal link us all to each other and the larger world.
